* the thing with all these `Mutex>>` and helpers that try to abstract it is: - For 9x% of the code that can afford to use async, you should just use async and not bother - For the remaining x% that really can't afford the 80 cycles of latency async adds, you probably won't want to use mutexes etc because they aren't zero cost either (taking a CS, unwrapping the option). You're better off unsafely steal whatever singleton or just do PAC register writes. so... I don't see the point in these helpers :D
