"Hey all, just wanted to let y'..." <- > <@diondokter:matrix.org> Hey all, just wanted to let y'all know I've released a release candidate for device-driver 1.0: https://github.com/diondokter/device-driver > Would love it if people checked it out, it's been a lot of hard work and I'm really happy about its current state. this is the first time i hear of this and it sounds interesting! my first observation though is that i don't see any example using it. may i suggest starting off both the readme and the book with a "want a sneak peek? here are a couple of real-world drivers implemented using this crate: ..."? this way it's way more obvious what this crate achieves and how it feels like to use it. if i first have to read parts of the book to find it (the first sneak-peek is on page 2, i.e. i the start page doesn't give me the information i was looking for) you might well already have lost some people (it's 2024 and the attention span of some is about as long as an average youtube short / tiktok video or whatever is currently en-vogue 😅)
