More dumb questions:

I want to wirelessly beam across the room data from my hypothetical USB host, with a 2.0 Full Speed™️ connected device, which requires 12Mbps from my understanding.

I think this rules out Bluetooth. I have come across “Wi-Fi Direct” which appears to be Wi-Fi, but p2p. There are a number of wireless modules I have found that offer this feature. It also seems that ESP32 does not support this. 

Does anyone know of a particular IC to tack onto my design that would play nicely with my MCU running Rust?
